PLEASE READ: This event is for Ages 13+. Participants paddling independently (i.e. in a single passenger kayak) must be 15 years or older. Youth ages 13–14 must paddle with a guardian, or guardian-approved adult, in a tandem kayak. Participants in single kayaks must be at least 15 years old. About the Event Join WAWA and friends for a fun day of hiking, paddling, and exploration in one of Georgia’s most beautiful state parks! We’ll start the day with a guided hike through Sweetwater Creek State Park, exploring wildlife, plant life, and stories from the land. After a relaxing lakeside picnic, we’ll head to the water for a beginner-friendly kayaking tour across the lake reservoir. No experience necessary, and all gear provided. Single Kayak: $30 (covers all materials for 1 participant) Tandem Kayak: $50 (covers all materials for 2 participants) Important Participation Requirements This event involves moderate physical activity. To participate, you must: Be able to sit upright for up to 2 hours Be comfortable in and around water (swimming skill is not required, we will be wearing life jackets) Be able to follow instructions and communicate independently (e.g. without the aid of another person or device).
